Problem with updating Kaspersky AV 8. Hello forum members. I've been using Kaspersky Internet Security 2. PCs. I never had any problems with using it or updating it. Now I've got a second PC connected on a network to the first PC.
The PCs share one internet connection. I installed the KIS2. PC on the weekend and immediately updated it. It works fine but I never tried updating it again until yesterday, nothing happens and the report always gives me the message [Update: error/task cannot be started/incorrect user name or password] . I've tried restarting the PC and unchecking the Proxy option in the Update settings but nothing happens, it gives me the same message.
I installed it with the correct code key/activation code so I don't know what is the user name/password it mentions. I've been reading through the forums for some clues but didn't find anything except people mentioning that I should uncheck the Proxy settings and also that I should post a systeminfo. Here it is http: //www. I doubt it has much info cause my PC is new and there's only a few things installed on it. I'd appreciate it if I could get some help with this.* PC 1 uses Windows Professional SP3 and PC 2 uses Windows Home SP3. This post has been edited by Umar_0.
